I'm registered republican, but my views are very different from my peers/president.
Here's a list of my view points. Help me figure out which party I should consider myself.
-I supported the war in Iraq.
-I support stem cell research and government funding of the research.
-I don't like abortion but I don't think it should be illegal.
-I support gays/minorities having equal rights (marrage included).
-I don't think the government has a right to interfere with peoples personal life.
-I'm against tariffs and support free trade.
-I think America should continue to fund it's military and maybe even increase funding.
-I don't like having a big government outside of vital areas (Military, police).
-I'm not religous.
-I support business and feel that businesses big and small are what power the country. Workers come second.
-I'm against social welfare programs.
-The patriot act = trash.
Please don't point out that any of these believes contradict one another, it would be impossible for me to revise this to the point where no one could find fault. For instance I'm for government funded research but against big government. What I mean by that is we should cut social welfare programs and funnel the money into research.
In short I have a reason for believing the way I do.
Does a political party that fits me even exist? Ask further questions about my opinions if you need to.
