WHich Power supply?

ok i am building a dualie on the asus a7m266d mainboard
with 2 mp 1800+
4 36 scsi fujusti 10k rpm hard drives
52x cd rom
floppy drive
and a nic
and a ati 32m pro something video card

now i want a really good powersupply and i have narrowed it down to the antec pp501d (500 watt)
and the enermax ENERMAX EG465P-VE (431 watt)

which is a better power supply and if you know of any other supplies please recommend them....

I've never seen a posted complaint about an Antec PS, except for the noise of the sleeve-bearing fan.

I've seen several posts about low 5V rail capacity on Enermax PS.

That's not much help, but I hope this helps. As you can probably guess, I use Antec.

get the antec, I saw 1 of the 500 watt's listed on ebay

I have an Enermax EG365P-VE 350W PSU and it's been great since I got it. Nice and quiet and it has two fans (one 92mm intake and one 80mm exhaust).

I recently purchased the Enermax 431 FMA. My voltages are all within spec. My 5V runs from 4.940 to 5.026. Most of the problems with the 5V rail were with certain Epox motherboards.

The dual fans are nice as well as the on off switch on the back and the fan speed dial and too the ability to monitor the speed of the 80mm fan.

Overall a good PS but it is a bit expensive. Newegg has about the best selection fo Enermax's for some of the lowest prices I found.

I will only use PC Power Supply Turbo Cool Power Supplies in my system.
I got the 450w
They have built in line conditioning, maintaining their voltage much better than others.
I have the Abit KR7A Raid board and it runs great with it.
My oc/ing results go much higher with these.
My old KT7 Raid had an Antec 300w, I bought a Turbo Cool 300w and my 1 ig only did 1.3 with the Antec, poped in a Turbo Cool and it went to 1.450 no problem.
Same results with my KR7A Raid board, much higher oc/with the Turbo cool.

Their more expesnsive but well worth it.
I read posts all the time with people having trouble with the KR7A Raid board, put a Turbo Cool Power Supply in and you'll see stability for sure. I can almost guarentee it.
