I'm planning to run an E8500 on Asus Rampage Formula with 2x2G of Corsairs 8500 and either an 8800 GTS 512 or 9800gtx.
I'm looking for a PSU for my system.
Here are my requirements...
1) HAS to be Modular
2) 700W or more (I will probably upgrade my GPU often but not my CPU)
3) $230 USD or less if possible.
I read the AnandTech reviews and none of the ones on their really caught my eye because a lot of the ones with awards are non-modular and the new enermax ones are less than 700w.
Question?
Is 1 12v rail with high amperage better or is it better to have 4 rails with lower amperage?
Obviously I want it to be a good PSU, but I'm in a room that when we hook up two space heaters it blows the circuit so I might have to switch rooms if the PSU causes problems.
Right now I'm kind of thinking about going with silver stone.
Please let me know what you guys think.
