Which PSU to buy?

I need a good name brand PSU...needs to pump out at least 430 watts of power...I think 450 might be safer.

So right now I have picked these 2 from Antec

Antec True430 @ 66 bucks from newegg

Antec SL450 @ 58 bucks from newegg

Out of those 2 which is better for clean, solid power? Also do you have a recommendation that is very close in quality or better than this for the same price or less?

I have the true 430w and I am completely happy with it. More than enough power and very solid rails... But then again, same could be said for the antec 380w I had too.... So, I'll vote for the true 430w.

don't know about the sl450, but I have the truepower and I can tell you it was worth every cent... Its probably one of the highest rated PS to date.

oh, and I've got a silent rig, so the truepower compliments the whole system. My old PS was pretty loud and annoying.

I have an Antec Tru380, and I love it. I got it @Newegg in Dec. for $55 w/ free shipping. (now, it's $66 shipped!) Bench tests show it'll actually put out closer to 430Watts max. I can only imagine what the Tru430 actually puts out! (Which is now $72 shipped and worth the extra $6).

Why do you need so much power?

Don't mean to hijack - but I'm looking for a PSU as well. What does everyone think about this PSU . It comes with the Chieftec cases. Any good?

The True430 is a better PSU than the Smart450. It should hold its voltages much better and sags on one line will not affect the others due to separate rails. Plus the Smart350 is pretty loud, so I imagine the 450 is similar. The Truepower is one of the quietest PSUs around.

I like my Enermax 431 watt beter then the Smartpower 350 and Truepower 330 Antecs I have simply because of noise. Both the Antecs are louder then the Enermax, the Enermax is also about 5 pounds heavier then any other PS I've had and in PSU's, you pay by the pound. I don't OC so anything over 300 watts is probably superfluous for my purposes but I doubt you would notice a dif between 400 and 450 watts even with moderate OCing.

Also Fortron 530W is the same price as the true 430, you might consider that.
