Hey guys. I have done so much research about which PSU I want. I have narrowed it to these three. Ill be installing one of these on an Ultra-D and a Venice, X800XL. I just cannot seem to be able to choose from all of these three PSUs. I know that they are all good quality PSUs. Please post which one you would choose and why. Id appreciate it. Thanks

Seasonic 600W. Lots of power and without the risk of frying your hard by an error while adjusting the rails in the OCZ.

Also I would consider the Thermaltake Purepower 680W. I own one and it's superb.

All three of them will more then provide the power that you'll need so just pick one. I have an OCZ PowerStream 520w and an Antec NeoPower 480w. I picked up a NeoPower because my PowerStream wont fit in my new Lian-Li V1000.

The seasonic 600 watt destroys that thing. It's less expensive quieter, and has 18amps per rail rather than 15.

2x15A and 1x8A, and I don't know if it's less expensive, I got mine where I live (in europe) at the price of the OCZ 450W. I really doubt it will be destroyed by anything

Well powerwise- Seasonic and OCZ are about even with Seasonic given the edge because of a higher power rating. However i would take the OCZ simply because it is rock solid. It has a peak load of 620, and rock solid rails. You can put any kind of load on it you want and it wont budge. Seasonic is very nice if you want a quiet system.

Now, why do you need 600Watt of power? I can hook up an SLI system to a quality 400Watt and do absolutely fine.

Damn...so many replies in so lil time...thanks guys I really appreciate your input...It seems that I am going to go with Seasonic because of the separate 12v rail... I have read that they help your hardware but I just cant understand how. Any more input?? thanks

EDIT: Kelvin, your right, I do not need 600w of power for my system. So how does the Seasonic 500w sound??

You can power that just fine with a high quality 300W PSU. I'd take the Seasonic S12 430W, unless you're planning to do SLI in the future (which I doubt, since you're going with th X800XL).

Agreed, Seasonic hands down, but 600 watts is pretty ridiculous. The system you described would run fine on a 350 watt Seasonic.

Seasonic > OCZ. OCZ is just a rebadged and over priced Topower, decent but not in the same league as Seasonic when it comes down to design and quality.

So your saying that Seasonic is better than OCZ. I mean i know that they are both high-end PSUs and that is why I came to you guys to convince me which on these i would be better off with.

OCZ is built by Topower which is good but not the best in my opinion. For the price OCZ is charging I think you can do better, Seasonic, PCP&C, Zippy come to mind.
