I have an Abit IC7-G which has ICH5 raid by Intel build in the south bridge and a Silicon Image controller on the PCI bus. I also have a WD Raptor and plan on getting another and running them as raid 0. My question is which would be faster, ICH5 or the Silicon Image? Has anyone actually benched the two to see the difference? I also relize that real world performance I could not tell the difference, but what the hey a couple of points is a couple of points.
