One doesn't need to. We're dealling with numbers, and mathematics is all that is necessary.

Limit the scope, you limit the findings. I think my point still stands even in the realm of mathematics though. Although it is convenient to use the theory of infinity in practical mathematics, I still don't think that it has been "proved".
I'll ask you the same question, if a set is not finite, what is it?

Hmmm, in spite of being raised as a Lutheran, I have a problem with religion. First off, if this "GOD" is so greay, then WHY would "HE" want little piss-ant humans to worship him, and NOT the rest of the animals on the planet? Are we humans so special? I don't think so...Created in "HIS" image? Which ones of us? White? Black? Asians? Ugly people? Jimmy Swaggart? Nope. I think religion was created by a bunch of superstitious, un-educated humans as a means of controlling each other. "GOD says that if you don't do what I say, you're going to a place of fire and brimstone" Yeah, magical sky creatures that live in the clouds...
Now even though I don't follow nor practice, I think some of the eastern "religious philosophies" make much better sense. They are more about living a good life, and how to interact with your fellow man, and the earth, although I DO have a problem with the whole idea of re-incarnation...yes, I suppose as your body decomposes, the various chemicals and minerals could be recyled in some way into plant, insect or worm life, but only that, not the "spirit"...not sure I buy that concept either...
just a thought...if this "GOD" is so superior, why would "HE" want people to kill other people in wars over who believes "right"...since, I believe the middle eastern religions, X-tianity, Judiasim, and Islam ALL worship the same god, just in different ways...

So-ooo where is the
"NONE of the ABOVE" category?

What is infinity? That doesn't prove infinity though. I'm going to bed as well, don't want to sound like I'm just trying to get the last word in, but I also didn't want to make it sound like I was ignoring your response. I'll be back tomorrow.

I guess I don't understand how this answers my question. Infinity and finitude form a perfect dichotomy, AFAIK, so if something is not one, it must be the other.

What is infinity?
The opposite of finitude.

That doesn't prove infinity though.
Why not? If it is given that an object is either red or yellow, and I can prove that its not yellow, doesn't that mean it must be red?

Atheism is a religion. They believe in the spiritual power of mankind, instead of a god. Agnostics don't believe in any of that crap.

Agnostic. I don't bother worrying if there is a god(s) or not... I'll find out when life's over.

no.. Baptist is not a 'denomination' and we don't fall under Protestants -> we never protested anything and didn't come out of the Roman Catholic church

Baptist for me.

Baptist is a "denomination" and is "protestant" as it was a seperatist movement that grew out of the Churh of England.............................of course claiming to be based on a much earlier "sect" which practices "true christianity".........

You are wrong, but getting into a discussion on that could / would lead to a rather nasty un-educated argument (not that you are not educated, but there are so many different things that can be pulled off the web supporting both sides of an argument and a lot of it is very far fetched).

We'll just have to disagree on that one.

What the ****** is spiritual power of mankind?

If that's what it is, where's the option for "none"?

Who's your patron saint?

That's what I thought, you're a protestant.

Okay, prove to me there's no God. If you can't, but still say there is none, you have faith.

No, theists made the assertion. It's up to them to prove it.

Only if it follows the rules.
