What is the difference of these two monitors? 997DF-T/T
or
955DF-T/T

Is the 997DF a new and better monitor?
Which one would be the best to get?

997DF looks to have better specs at higher resolutions. If you aren't going to use 1280x1024 or 1600x1200.....the 955DF should be fine. I personally like refresh rates a bit higher than they are on the 995DF. Either monitor should be good but there are more reviews of the 955DF. The 997DF is a new model so it will take some time for reviews to pop up.

Try and find the 957DF. It does 1280x1024 @ 85hz. and 1600x1200 @ 85hz too. The 955DF is big, but for its size, 1152x864 is the highest resolution you can set it to @ 85hz. 1280x1024 only goes upto 75hz, which you can notice the flicker. But be warned, the 955DF is slightly out of focus on the sides. On my left, there is one vertical blue line that is out of alignment slightly, if you squint and look for it you'll see it. About 20% of the left side of my monitor is slightly less brigther than the rest of the monitor. This is the second 955DF, and there were even more problems with the last one. I don't know if it was the static electricity from BestBuy that screwed up the monitor or if Samsung isn't checking the quality of these monitors closely. The 997DF has about the same resolution/refresh rates as the 957DF, but I think it's kinda ugly.
