Which schools have good IT and Comp Eng. Programs?

RIT has a huge IT program. The classes that the IT kids take and the CE kids take are completly different. CE is at a much higher difficulty level. Usually the ones who fail out of CE and CS go to IT.

Va Tech has a good program. Cheap if you can get instate and the SAT requirements are not that high. They used to offer instate to other nearby states, like MD, under the common market program...don't know if they still do. The comp-e dept had the second highest placement when I graduated, last year.

Those are all pretty good schools, but consider Va Tech. For the price of tuition (save u some drinking money), u cannot beat the education that u would get in EE, CPE, or CS. They even offer an IT degree.

University of Waterloo probably will cost more than 8000 because you're American. You still need all the SATs stuff to apply, just like any American school. UW has a great co-op program, useful for those struggling to make ends meet.

You should seriously consider University of Michigan's Engineering school.....unless you don't want a big school, Ann Arbor is a great city, and I'm glad I didn't apply anywhere else. (Granted, I live an hour away) It's 10th on that list, and the life is great. (Remember, if you want women, our LS&amp;A school's full of good-looking-non-thinking ladies. jp, they're actually all pretty intelligent. for the most part)

But academically, UM is a great school. Apart from the weather, no one complains. ^_^

I understand, but haven't verified, that 80% of the design team for the Pentium processor got degrees from Syracuse. So basically, if you don't go to work for Intel after Syracuse, you go to IBM.
