which SFF should I get?

2 choices for me,
option 1 $260 FIC IC-VL67

option 2 $269 Shuttle SB61G2

I like the window on the FIC, but I haven't seen anything independant on it.
Thoughts?

(the one I was originally after is never in stock Soltek EQ3401A, not mirrored

definitely the shuttle. You might consider the nforce flavor. I spent quite a bit less money for the nforce and my SN41G2B rocks.

I appreciate that someone bothered to answer, but I am looking for some informed "why's". I am new to SFF's, and haven't seen any (unbiased) info on the FIC model...

I have had my Gbox 968 (same as the previous FIC) and my brother recently got the Ecube (same as what you are looking at) and we are both very happy. You will be limited by very little overclocking options in the bios but it is a very stable machine. The handle is a great feature as are the lexan sides.

I like Shuttle to and had an SV25 that is still working. I chose something different than Shuttle but they have come out with nice looking units. You might want to check www.sfftech.com as the Biostar's and Soltek's are nice.

Those are close enough that looks could be the deciding factor. Or which company's products you trust most. I'd go Shuttle, but I'm biased and haven't ever used the FIC. Check out sfftech.com to maybe find more info.

I would take the Shuttle over the FIC...but, I guess that I have been a little bit spoiled by mine...
