I'm a fedex guy so obviously my answer would be FEDEX!!!

UPS is definitely not the shipping service to have considering they obliterate packages left and right. (This may not be true but every package i've ever gotten from UPS looked like they used it for batting practice.

Up until the last month I would have been in total agreement. Then fedex ground smashed up the really nice computer I built for my brother. Then they lost it for a few days, then smashed it up more on the way back to me, then denied my claim due to insufficient packaging. I shared a few pics with them and they seem to have relented on the claim, but that experience reminds me of why I swore to never use UPS again and stick with fedex.

Huh? You're saying that Fedex Ground smashed your computer, but that this incident caused you to swear never to use UPS again and to use Fedex from now on?

I think what dave mean is that the experience with FedEx reminds him how UPS had done the same before and how he had swore not to use UPS, but stick with FedEx. But now FedEx is doing the same....

DHL, you can drop them off at any local officemax if you have one and there won't be a fee.

I think my Fedex guy is BoBo the Gorilla - I've never gotten a Fedex package in one piece... The last one was ripped open (had living things in it) and there was a spare Trailer bolt and nut.... The one before that was A memory stick and some whiteout (to get a coupon ... .the fedex guy basically handed me memory stick and whiteout in one hand, and the remains of a box in another........

Well I work at a computer monitor place, and from what I have heard customer service say, UPS is *NOT* the desired method of transport. Fedex, however, is. Also, I believe Fedex has a better claims department...just MAKE SURE YOU INSURE IT!!!

But on the serious side, make sure you package it properly. It won't really matter if Fedex or UPS (I'd still stick with Fedex tho) if you package it as it should....if you don't have the original foam that came inside the monitor box, then use about 2" of foam that you can find at a craft store. DO NOT USE PEANUTS!!! Take my advice...you don't want to end up like these guys:

Look at the last 2 pics...that's why you want to have at least 2 inches of foam (styrofoam) around EVERY SIDE.
