Wyoming looks the coolest since they have like 5 people living there so enough room for the good design. Cali is the most boring since it's utilitarian unless you pay for the cool ones.

That's actually pretty nice. I prefer plain plates.
Designs make plates look stupid.

texas has hundreds of plate styles available for extra fee. the new standard plate is just plain black on white, though.

Thats the Georgia one from two plates back. The new blows major balls. The design is ugly and the went with some sort of plastic instead of metal and it looks/feels cheaply done.

I like the Indiana one in that picture--it's one of my all-time favorites.

I used to like my state's license plates (Minnesota), but the state cheapened it a few years ago when they stopped embossing the numbers and added a URL advertising exploreminnesota.com.

The basic Minnesota design has been around for over 30 years now, and as much as I like it, it's OLD. I now have one of our "donation" plates. That one's not embossed either, but it has a cool picture of a loon and no URL. (Similar to the one at the top of this page: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/features/plates/2009.html)

I just spent a couple minutes Googling for a NH plate with a topless Lady Liberty or some such thing.

Give me a plain license plate. I feel like colored plates potentially clash with the car. I want a plate that does not call attention to itself, and won't be noticed unless you are looking for it.
