Give me a plain license plate. I feel like colored plates potentially clash with the car. I want a plate that does not call attention to itself, and won't be noticed unless you are looking for it.
I DO wish that front license plates weren't required in most states, given that they totally kill the lines of some beautiful cars, and they're basically worthless for most things that license plates are used for.
Yeah but they don't have state motto's on them like US - eg 'the way life should be' in Maine.the ones in europe are nice:
Those are old. That Indiana plate hasn't been in circulation since 1998. Here are the Indiana plates since then:
The Florida plate would be on the back of a Lincoln town car.
texas has hundreds of plate styles available for extra fee. the new standard plate is just plain black on white, though.

I like the old Colorado one too. Also Oregon.
I like old Oklahoma one because it's so derp, with some bad pun too.
Considering that they're big and in the middle of the car, it's hard to avoid noticing them. New Hampshire - "Live Free or Die"
I like the new "standard" TX plates.
But these basic "vanity" plates are clean as well.
They're all okay. I don't like any of them "best". With 4 kids I've played a lot of license plate game. I like a plate that has an easily readable state name on it. And for that matter, how do cars with a Hawaii plate manage to get here to NJ?
