Which Steak is your favorite?

It all depends on how it prepared, but generally I'm not very often disappointed in a good Tbone or Ribeye. I've also had a few very good New York Strip steaks....

I like a good rib eye, but a well-prepared Flat-iron steak (had one on Friday night) is tops for me right now.

Depends on the grade of the meat...if it's high quality then porterhouse.

Rib Steak, followed very closely by New York strip. I find fillet mignon too lean, not enough fat to give it the taste I really crave when I succumb to my desires for a steak (only about once per month).

What cut of steak has the most potential to be lean and tender? I HATE dealing with fat/grizzle.

Filet, but it also has the least flavour.

Err, you understand most of the flavour of the meat comes from the fat right? Tenderloin is basically fat free.

I'd much rather flavor it up with spices/sauce than deal with fat. Disgusts me.

You can cut the chunks of fat off pretty much any but the most ratty of steaks. However, it is the marbling that makes the meat. Marbling is the streaks of fat within the cut that are the prime source of juiciness and flavor. A Filet Mignon has very little marbling, so it is not very tasty. However, it is extraordinarily tender and is marvelous when served with a sauce. T-bone, Ribeye, and New York Strip are widely seems as the best combo of marbling and tenderness, but it really is a matter of personal preference - hence the poll.

My vote goes for bone-in ribeye
