Which T-Bird is best "Bang 4 Buck"

Are any of the T-Birds supposed to be better for overclocking (when the hack is decided) like the 500s with the 650 cores were? I'm ready to order but would like to get opinions first.

Best bang right now I would say is the 700 Thunderbird, about 150 bucks and the SlotA's are hitting 900+

Lots of 750 Slot A's have 900 cores.

CRV, so you wouldn't spring the extra for the 800 or 850? I just ordered the K7V and want to get the processor going too. Also, and good cooling for the slot A out yet?? Sure do like my Artic Cooler.

DaddyG is right, alot of the 750's have 900 cores and I have heard of a few 700's also, not guaranteed but the chance is there.
I noticed on Pricewatch that the 750's are only 50 bucks more than the 700's, the three 700 T-Birds I have coming in are for clients but if it was for myself I would pay the extra 50 for the 750.

Hi bud. I have the T-bird 700 Slot A but haven't got a mobo yet.What do you recommend...MSI 6330?

Also,how can we distinguish a 900 core in a 700-750 chip?

The slotA T-bird takes any HSF that an Athlon does. Same outside shell(at least my athlon dual fan heat sink works )

where did you guys get slot A t-birds? I thought they were strictly OEM only. Well I guess you can get everything if you really want to.

I thought MSI 6330 is socket A board
(MSI 6330 is MSI K7T Pro).

I believe atm no slocket out yet for
slot A to socket A converter.

That 6330/K7T Pro looks like a nice SocketA board, 6 PCI ect. and the Master with onboard Ultra SCSI, 6PCI. 4 Dimms ect. both look real nice.
Have you seen any reviews yet? (still early)
If you meant the K7Pro, that is a very nice board, probably one of the most stable SlotA's around. I have built about 20 and haven't had one come back yet.

Ya! Slot A is more available than the socket A. I screwed up and ordered a Slot A 750 T-Bird, had to cancel then ordered the Socket A. So I go check on the Mobo I ordered and I screwed that up too. So I changed it to the ASUS A7V which should ship Monday with a little luck.

The hardest to find is a CPU cooler for the friggin things. Anybody got any sources??
