For my new build I am thinking between the following:

  • Corsair AX1200i
  • EVGA SuperNova G2 1300
The poll shows whats available.

Impossible to choose without knowing
1. what hardware you're going to be powering, and
2. how much each of those units will cost to you

Currently 2 gtx 780 but am waiting for new HBM2 graphic cards.
But in features and build quality which one is best. Price not an issue.

You'd be hardpressed to go wrong with any of those, though I'd definitely rank the Thermaltake unit last.

I have an EVGA 1300G2 and a few Seasonic X1000s and I've been happy with both of them. The hybrid fan mode on the Seasonic is nice, but how much that is worth will depend on they idle noise of your system already. With price no object I'd probably take the SS over the EVGA, for slightly better parts and the fan mode.

Overall, the AX1200i has a reputation of being a little better than the Seasonic, but you'd be hardpressed to find much of a difference between them other than the CorsairLink support. If you'd appreciate that, go that way. I found the CorsairLink software to be a bit of an abomination when I used it for an H80i, but that's just me.

I would wait until the new cards come out because they should consume considerably less power than the 780s. Even with those, 1250/1300 is much more than necessary, 1kW should be plenty.

Are the 780's overvolted beyond what overclocking programs allow (i.e. modded bios)? If not then a 850W PSU will be better suited.

AX1200i is probably the best out of the bunch, but I wouldn't buy it. Corsair RM1000x or some other 1kW unit with good price/performance should be more than enough

If you want best of the best, the Flextronics made Corsair AXi series PSUs are still at the top.

I think the evga should have the best bang for the buck, but I'd go with any of the four except the Thermaltake unit.

3 absolutely stellar units, chosing between them is splitting hairs. i like EVGA ..

but then again i would buy a EVGA *or* Superflower 1Kw Platinum, because you will not need 1300w and you might actually be running at lower efficiency than a good 1k.

Seasonic and the EVGA I'd recommend just from name brand, do a bit of your own research when buying things.

I'm starting to hate people just throwing a poll up these days, there is never a best for future proofing, especially when you have no idea what you are going to do in the future in reality.

JonnyGuru is always good, the look for sales on things from there.

Just don't buy a cheapo for starters.

Most people as I have a good idea of what reviews are available online, but the poll shows people's experience and opinion. For future proofing the only thing is to choose greater than current capacity with an educated guess.

Delta built Antec PSU's are always pretty solid, have been using a 850 for a long time in the main rig.

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=142

Takes a case that will fit it, and have been a few other versions.

The poll don't mean a lot as PSU's change all the time.

Come back and post a pic of your 4 ways when you go there, I could even do that on the old rig here and wouldn't bother.

I'm not starting a fight, you just seem a bit vague about where you are going in reality.
