Lost. I'm currently re-watching the series for a second time. People only thought the ending sucked because they debated heavily on what it would be for years and it wasn't anything near what they built up their head. Therefore, they hated it. I didn't start watching Lost until a couple of years ago when the last season was wrapping up. I didn't have any insane notions on what was going on, so it was an awesome story from start to finish.

I really think the only negative to watching Lost at this point is missing out on all of the fun conversations trying to figure out just wtf was going on. That was part of the whole experience IMHO. With that said, I watched it a 2nd time with my gf who has never seen it and she thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end.

figured id update since i just finished watching like 50 something episodes of breaking bad. Awesome show. Right up there with dexter and 24. Would recommend to anyone who hasnt seen it and has netflix. So pissed the final 8 episodes arent until next summer though

Gonna take a serious show break, and finally watch the new futurama episodes/movies that ive been holding off on, and then probably marathon another series.

depends. It is pure visceral, mindless, entertainment. It has a few moments of brilliance and it's great adrenaline, but you have to suspend a good bit of common sense, and some amount of taste to appreciate it.

Me, I loved it, and I'm not easy to please. I think the best thing it has going for it is that it establishes one of the few, true, anti-hero badasses that just about everyone wants to be. You pull for him when he's noble, you hope he will do the most evil thing possible to some truly evil dickbag, etc.

You also have to like cliffhangers. The wonderful thing, is that it can all be streamed through netflix. Prepare to not sleep if you get hooked.

seasons 2-4 are the best, and 7-8 if you ask me. 5 is also pretty damn good.

yeah, like most shows, 2nd and 3rd season of 24 are best. i managed to watch all 8, which is saying a lot, since i almost never do that.

and in like 4 or 5 of the seasons, i became terribly addicted and watched like an episode or two a night until i finished it in a couple weeks.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I agree the show gets so much better after and towards the end of season one, which is usually why it's a tough sell to people, because they see a few episodes and lose interest. In fact the whole reason i started watching from season one is because i watched a episode from season 4 or 5 or something and was hooked.

I wouldn't put it in the same category as breaking bad, it's very different. But even after watching 50 episodes of breaking bad, 24 is still my favorite show ever. I have never gotten so giddy over watching a show. Anytime i hear the tick tock 24 cock it brings back good memories.

Is the 2005 series the one to watch? Just looked it up on Wikipedia and there's like 6 different series. And should i watch dr who before watching torchwood?

What else from that genre? I've only seen a few twilight zone episodes. Worth watching?

The original Twilight Zone is amazing as so much of it is just classic science fiction. It really still holds up after this many years and has some of the best story telling ever.

Doctor Who is nothing like it though. It's more "let's go have some adventures through space and time and almost get killed every week." It's a fun show however and I'm just a few seasons into the reboot.
