From my experience, people in Maryland and DC are courteous enough, but are completely oblivious to other people on the road. Drivers in NYC and Long Island will let you have an earful, but they can avoid an accident.

As a New Yorker who now lives in New Jersey, I'd like to nominate the entire state (NJ).

Detroit drivers are fairly courteous simply because so many don't have insurance and don't want to get screwed if they get into an accident.

The worst I have driven in is Chicago. Those people are completely ruthless.

I-75/Bruce B Downs Blvd interchange, SB in the morning and NB in the evening; ABSOLUTE CHAOS. All because the stupid rich prick drivers in New Tampa don't know how to merge onto the fvcking highway!!! I-75 could probably use another lane or two though, and I'm pretty sure BBD is way past the operating capacity it was designed for.

st. louis definitely has the worst, dude... you don't know dickhead drivers until you've been to st. louis. you HAVE to cut people off over there... otherwise, you'll never be able to change lanes.

Chicago's not hard to handle.

The worst for me was Arkansas. So many drivers didn't care for the concept of rearview / sideview mirrors or turn signals. It's one of the scariest feelings in the world when you're cut off by slower moving semis without turn signals. And it happens repeatedly. And by other vehicles too. And add in those suicidal on & off-ramps they've got down there... nothing but one big nightmare.

Haha, there was just an accident outside my office.

A car took a turn too fast and spun into the garage door of a mechanic shop lightly damaging it. There are now 5 (five) fire engines, 2 police cars, and a fire marshall's car across the street will all of them milling about. Just a slight overesponse...
