I-75/Bruce B Downs Blvd interchange, SB in the morning and NB in the evening; ABSOLUTE CHAOS. All because the stupid rich prick drivers in New Tampa don't know how to merge onto the fvcking highway!!! I-75 could probably use another lane or two though, and I'm pretty sure BBD is way past the operating capacity it was designed for.

QFT - though you can't forget Dysfuction Junction (I-4 and 275). Some dumbass always gets in a wreck and backs up traffic for hours - what a nightmare. And Fletcher while school is in ugh...

I live in St. Louis, and I'll agree with you, provided it's not dry & sunny. They're not so bad if conditions are ideal. Once there's so much as a drop of rain or a flake of snow coming up, all bets are off!

Boston and Chicago both get (dis?)honorable mentions.

it's not even that... st. louis drivers are ALWAYS out for themselves and no are not courteous drivers whatsoever. you'll be in the middle lane and need to get off at an exit and put your blinker on to turn into the right lane and some prick will speed up just so you can't switch lanes. wtf?!

and another thing is that they never give you the wave whenever YOU let them in... like, if they have their blinker on to try and get in front of you and you slow down to let them, they never say thank you.

one time, driving home from school, i had to change lanes and this dick was going to try speeding up to block me. so, i cut him off. then, he had the balls to give ME the finger and drive next to my car yelling at me to pull over and fight him.... with his wife in the passenger seat and his kids in the back.

by the way, i'm a dc driver... dc drivers are very good drivers and are very courteous drivers... i'm sure the dc area atot crowd will attest to that.

I've been to a lot of places. SD has laid back, indecisive drivers. LA has impatient drivers. NY has pissed off drivers that can't even drive in their own lanes. Florida has slow drivers. Chicago just has a messed up highway/freeway/roads system (as if the roads were biult after the fact that there are buildings and such). I've never driven around Phoenix, but I heard quite a bit of people say that Phoenix has the craziest, pissed off, impatient, insane drivers.

someone needs to find an official stat sheet showing tickets + accidents per population ratio.

However, the worse of them all HAS TO BE LAS VEGAS. UGH. it's like a magnet for bad drivers. All the people who go visit Las Vegas have no courtesy, always pissed, no manners, etc etc. It's the worse place to drive anywhere. I hate driving around Vegas. No other place in the US pisses me off than Vegas when I'm on their roads.

This morning there was a bad wreck on the southbound offramp from I-75 to E Fowler Ave, backed up I-75, BBD, Fletcher, Fowler, US 301, and Morris Bridge Rd.

Twice yesterday I was driving in my lane when the car next to me decided it was now their lane and swerved into me with no forewarning.

Typical day in Atlanta.

Los Angeles is a close second though.

Lived in Austin for six years, I really can't see that.

You must not of experienced some of the joys yet, such as...
A red light means stop, but only after it has been red for 30 seconds.
Some guy in a F-250/Ram 2500 that decides he wants your space on the road because he is bigger than you.
and the constant stream of tactor-trailers that just don't care about anything but getting to Dallas before their deadline.

We get a lot of the california dick drivers, and a lot of the "afraid of big roads" rural midwesterners. It's a bad combo.

You're spot-on with the lane change thing, especially on the highways. The route I take to work never has a speed limit over 40, and I find it's MUCH less stressful than driving on god-forsaken 40/64. I avoid 40/64 like the plague.

Then I guess I can drive anywhere

I did all the driving last time we went to Las Vegas....... I did not have a problem

Chicago by far.... FIB's I say! Every day when I go to school through the Marquette Interchange in Milwaukee they are always blasting through the construction like they own the place.

And driving in Chicago... don't even get me started.

I chose LA even though Chicago would be a good choice too. I chose LA because it seemed like people there were a little more malicious.

I've been to every city on that list with the exception of DC, and NO ONE comes even remotely close to Boston.

Detroiters are decent drivers. There are some exceptions but I think it's due more to the road/freeways then the drivers....The big curves on I75 at 8mile road, Rochester road, and Big Beaver Road are wicked if you hit them going too fast.

But that's what Texas is all about. Heck, even compact parking space means it's for regular truck.

Seconded...just include the entire Bay Area in this one...

I go crazy when I pull up behind someone going 45 mph in the fast lane on 101 with nobody in front of them at 11 pm on a weeknight.
