Which version of AN35N to get? Where to get? Opinions?

I have decided to go with a Shuttle AN35N for my budget nForce2 system. Where is the best price? I found them at Mwave for pretty cheap but they have like 4 different versions. What is the difference between the AN35N Ultra 2 and the AN35N Ultra 400 or something like that? Which one did you guys get?? Also, are the ones at Mwave retail packages or OEM?

I'm not quite sure Techie but I think the Ultra 400 is the nf2 ultra core that can support 400fsb. I have that particular mobo in my server and the box has two names listed - AN35 Ultra and Ultra 400. So they may be the same. It's a great motherboard though.

Check out NewEgg to see if they have a lower price also. When I got it it was $66.

The difference between the two is the AN35 Ultra does the duel channel memory thing. While the 400 only does single channel. I'd go with the AN35-Ultra or AN35-N ultra if you want the one with the added on nic.

I also would suggest the AN35N Ultra 400. The one I have was easy to set up and is running my T-Bred B XP1700 at a little over 2.0 Ghz (11.5x175). Just make sure you get good quality ram and a decent power supply if you are planning to take advantage of its' solid overclocking capabilities. I have been very happy with mine, which I got from newegg a couple of months ago for $66 shipped. Multiwave is a very reputable vendor, and I would not hesitate to order one from them.

Also, to buy with this board, what is the best heatsink to use w/ 80mm fan for OCing? Which one fits in nicely..........going to be using with athlon xp 2100+ chip.

Great, stable, solid board BTW! And it has rounded edges!

The SLK-900(A) fits perfectly on the board. I've got that set up with an 80mm Panaflo L1A and my CPU temps average ~33 C.

I don't know what the best heatsink and fan would be, but I have been quite happy with this one for $12 shipped from newegg. Keeps my overclocked XP1700+ around 35 C at idle and barely over 40 C under load. Very quiet, too. Can't beat it for the price. Fit fine on my AN35N, using the paste that came on it, too.
