So after I got my new Skagen watch, I came to a realization, WTF did I get a second watch. I already have a nice one and wanted to get an everyday watch, but why not just enjoy my nice watch and wear it everyday. Oh well, I didn't think this through. I'm an idiot.

Unfortunately since its been re-sized, I can't return it, so I decided I will sell one of them.

The two watches are the following;

Tissot PRC 200 - http://shop.tissot.ch/mm5/grap...00000001/T17158652.jpg
Pros: Sapphire Crystal resists scratches and breaks much better, bendable steel links on the band, real chrono, classic look
Cons: Heavy and large, so it can get in the way while doing tasks.
Retail: $450 (Paid $300) - About 1.5 years old

Skagen 596XLTXM - http://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/.../wogn/WOGN076ZZZ01.jpg
Pros: Very light & thin, modern look, doesn't get in the way as much due to its size
Cons: Mineral Crystal breaks and scratches easier, Titanium scratches easier, links don't bend so its stiffer and less comfortable.
Retail: $195 (Paid $113) - Still brand new except for the re-sizing

Here is a combined pic to see them in the same shot; Picture

I know I know, I shouldn't have bought it in the first place, but I'm sure we all get that way sometimes. Get fixated on something then regret it right after

I welcome your suggestions and comments. I know some of you will say neither, but I like them both and already own them both, not gonna go out and get a third

I don't think there's anything wrong with having a few watches. I have quite a few, but you bought two that practically look the same.

I would keep the Tissot.

Agreed; I have 5 watches. I'm also with Descartes, you should keep the Tissot

True, but I guess I feel like my money would be better spent elsewhere I suppose right now. Maybe in a year or two I will pick up a second, but right now I think just 1 is plenty for me.

My last watch was a Skagen before I got a fancy watch as a gift. I loved that watch. So I vote Skagen.

damn these are both really throw away watches....i'd just keep them or gift one, you won't get anything selling them. I just got back from my alignment at a pretty high end shop where watches came up.

Apparently a $4k Rolex is REALLY low end. I have a Seiko that was a few hundred bucks...I was automatically excluded from the conversations. The one guy had on some $15k watch everyone else seemed to know though.

Tissot of those two. I own a couple of watches myself though and manage to wear them both fairly often.

After trying them both on multiple times, I decided to keep the Tissot. The Skagen is nice, but I prefer the Tissot.

Thanks guys!

even though i'm partial to skagen, if you're going to have only one watch and you're a little rough on them, the tissot will probably last longer.

I like the looks of the Skagen better, but after owning a watch with a sapphire crystal I don't think I could go back.

That's kinda what has been going through my mind. Each of my last three mineral crystal watches needed new crystals a little after a year of use, either due to cracking or scratching. Victronox, Kenneth Cole and Fossil.

The Skagen scares me even more due to the many reports of the mineral crystal being even more fragile than most other watches due to its super thin profile.
