Do you guys use any kind of booster antenna with the buffalo, or is the stock one good enough?

I believe the buffalo comes with a 4db antenna. That should be good enough
covers my 2350 sq foot house with no problem. Of course, every environment is different.

Yeah the HP has a better Antenna than the usual 2dbi that is on almost all of the other Wireless Routers.

The device actually has two Antennae. One is inside the device, and one removable outside.

I would use the Antenna as is unless you are sure that another external Antenna would be suitable for the Routers output arrangement.

BTW. The Buffalo's firmware is good solid firmware, if you do not need the extra features that the DD-WT/Tomato provide, leave it as is and flash later if there is a reason for Flashing.

So do you think the combination would be overkill, if I used the WL-500W as a router and access point for the hard-wired and 2x 802.11n devices, and the WHR-HP-G54 as strictly an access point for the 4+ other g devices?
