Absolutely NOT the PSU, being so popular, if Antec Neo 480 makes such annoying whine, it shoud be already recognized.

back on topic, it's actually not to uncommon for cheap motherboards capacitors to make whiny noises, either the capacitors needa be reaplaced or the whole mobo, but I really wouldn't want to leave it running like that, but that's just me.

second for the guy that went from a 3000+ to 3400+ I'm sure it's because the 3400+ added strain to the electrical components on the motherboard, especially if say going from newcastle to clawhammer, with all the extra cache and speed, it's bound to tax the mobo a lil more.

ive had a similar problem with an old asus. The problem was an air pocket between the socket and the cpu. Reseat the CPU and put new grease the heatsink
