the ridgeline is no super-duty ladder frame, but it will accept a 3/4 ton payload and tow 5000 pounds. that's more than enough for anyone who isn't a contractor or pulling a big trailer. in return, you get vastly improved handling, fit/finish, comfort, and a lockable trunk big enough to hold a cooler. it's ugly as sin, and it won't be the right option for the most extreme truck buyers, but for 90% of truck buyers it meets their needs and then some.

i guess the real question is if you can get a gun rack for it.

I like the idea of this vehicle, as I've ridden in a co-workers and it feels like a nice comfy SUV. But I wouldn't get it as a "truck", as it costs way too much and doesn't do the things a normal truck is capable of doing.

If I get a truck it'll be a Nissan Frontier or one of the smaller V8 F150. I"ll probably have to settle for some lame SUV, though.

No, a Ridgeline won't climb rock walls or haul your herd of steer over a mountain like in all of the Chevy and Ford commercials. It will last 3 times as long and still haul over sized items.

If they weren't $30,000, I'd get one.

3 times as long? lmao. My dad just sold his F 150 a year a go that had 473K miles on it.

If you can't haul a load or tow a trailer with it, you might as well get a car, and rent a real truck from Home Depot on those few weekends when you need it.
