The house next door to me about two years ago was a Rat Pack style, the entire yard was full of junk and crap all around, i remember there was a old motorcycle, a boat in the yard and an old post office car.

I can't imagine how the inside of the house was. Well anyways the town i think went against them or the bank and they lost the house and had to move. The guy who bought it clean it and fixed it up and now looks great.

I believe it. When I was young, a lady down the street would pay me 2 dollars to take her groceries in from her car and take out her trash because she lived on the 3rd floor and had bad legs. Her house was a wicked mess. But, as a kid, I never really thought about it. Looking back on it, someone should have helped her. She was still working all the way up until she died (only a couple years after I could no longer do her groceries / trash for her).

I'm suprised. Most larger apartment complexes would call in what is essentially a HAZMAT team (hotels use them after a person has died in the room or there is blood everywhere).

my grandma is a packrat, though nothing on the order of what's been shown here... i hope. she hasn't let anyone into her house in about 7 years now. my 6 year old cousin had an assignment in school to write about his grandparents' house, he didn't know where his grandma lived because he's never been there. and everytime we try to bring it up, she becomes very hostile. it's really sad

It's amazing how some people can live in conditions like that. My brother once lived in an apartmant next to something like this. The guy next door was really personible (kind of hard to understand though as he was from Saudi Arabia) but he had an odor coming from his place that was just awful. It wasn't until he moved out though, that the land lord realized he had been raising a ton of chickens in his basement.

I do some charity work for an elderly lady whose house is probably on a par with this. I do yard work for her and for the love of all that's holy and right with the world, I NEVER EVER go inside. Once she brought me a glass of water - I didn't ask for it. I choked it down just to be polite. Then I went home and drank listerine for the next couple of hours.

I don't think this lady has ever thrown out a single scrap of garbage in her entire life - and it shows. But she is as nice a person as you would ever want to meet.
