do they still ship the drives with nothing for packing material... i still remember getting 4 drives from them a year and a half ago... opening up the box and seeing four drives with no packing material except for a 2x1 foot of crunched up brown paper. Two of the drives were bad D:

I was in my local CompUSA and saw this same drive from 49.99 (after the $30 rebate) and almost bit...they had a ton, so I may just get that one and save the hassle.

When I tried to bring up the rebate pdf in Firefox, it came up as a blank page for me. However, I plugged it in to my download manager, and it downloads no problem.

Might have to try that, or try opening it in IE. If you still can't get it, PM me, and I'll see about getting it upped somewhere for you.

I have a dead one in my rig right now waiting for my lazy self to RMA it. It wokred great for a couple months. Now it stops for 30 seconds every minute or so. It literally took me almost a day to transfer 200GB of data to my 640GB WD AALS Black. I am really light on my HDDs, so it just flat out died on me without much use.

First HDD to ever die on me. YMMV.

My first Tiger rebate since 2006. That one took 6 months and a series of strongly worded letters to collect. You can tell me they are great now, I got mine ok, etc. That's what people were saying in 2006. Seriously considering the $3 express rebate option, $27 sooner, and not $30 someday...

I too have found Bing CB inconsistent lately. Not just with TD, but with many other places too. If you don't get a BCB email right away, or within twenty or thirty minutes, good luck. People at Bing aren't fighting for us like they were. They are caving to the stores and denying.

AFAIK, Google Checkout cancels out Bing.

You'd see when you get the package. TD packages it in a plastic clamshell with UPC on a paper sheet.
