Remember when this dumb fuck thought you had to show ID to buy groceries?

Trump claims you need ID to buy groceries. You do not.

This shit stain has never been in a grocery store in his life.

While obviously he's a moron, I don't know what that has to do with this.

You should limit how much you go out in public and yes that means the grocery store too.

Take advantage of their online pickup if you can (for those worried that the workers are touching their food, uh how do you think it got in the store and on the shelf? Also, people should know that because of online ordering that they're constantly picking stuff off the shelves too so even if you don't have them do it for you, they've probably been touching the stuff for others that did).

I still see a lot of people out at stores. This isn't going to happen, and will probably be why this pandemic will be much worse. People just aren't prepared to live in their homes/apartments for weeks, even months.

So you are out seeing people out?

Only thing I've been tempted to do other than going to the store is just go out and drive for awhile. Not much traffic.

Being in that high risk catagorie, it makes sense!
But I will admit I proactively leave the confines of my Nuclear/Pandemic bomb shelter usully in the early morning and stock up on several weeks of food usually over a 2 or 3 day period!
I am actually set for maybe 3 - 4 week and even longer if I have to ration what I eat! But I am just one person!! Imagine having 3 or 4 kids...lolol

How often are you making food for yourself?

Yup... um, especially before. Cause the peak is when there are the most people being tested positive (I presume) which is apt to be almost 2 weeks after they were infected on average.

Right now is about the worst time to get infected.

The week after peak is just as bad because it you need ICU or a vent you probably won’t get one the week after peak as they will all be full as people tend to stay Icu or a vent for about 7 days.

Unfortunately, all I have are some basic masks that I bought for when it gets so dry here, the dust clouds created when cutting the lawn makes me have a coughing fit. I have a bunch of Lysol disinfection wipes.
So yea, wipe off all of the groceries with the wipes when I get home, and wash hands. I was sort of panicking when all of the sudden the CDC says you have to have a mask when you go out in public. Like where in the F am I going to find an actual mask anywhere. Then they came out with you can just use a bandana basically.
We're number one, but we can't even protect the doctors, nurses, or EMTs. If I hear the word exceptionalism one more time, I think I'm going to puke.

Amazon has a bunch in stock. It looks like N95 masks for medical personnel only though.

Some advice, take or leave it.....
My niece, a nurse in pediatrics, sets a plastic dishpan on her kitchen counter filled half way with water and then she adds 2/3 cup of bleach. When she returns home with her groceries my niece submerges the can-goods and whatever that can be submerged into the dishpan. Then she removes the item(s) and wipes them off before storing into the cupboard or into the frig. Sounds better, simpler and faster than using wet wipes on every item.
I wonder if using vinegar instead of bleach would also disinfect? I thought vinegar was an disinfectant too???

Meanwhile, the Roberts Court is telling them to go vote in person in Wisconsin. And since they are pro-life, you know it must be safe.

Talk about short-termism! Get the Republicans in this time, even if it means a proportion of your voting base won't be around for the next election.

I went for a combined mail drop, prescription pick up and shopping in the same store. Observations:
I saw ~50% mask usage.
People without masks were more likely to ignore social distancing.
My one encounter at the checkstand was an older lady who could not fathom why I was standing back, and made motions to cut me off. I looked at her and did not acknowledge her little old lady look. No mask, no clue, no care.
She fell in behind after a while, but pushed in past the 'wait here" mark while I was checking out.
Saw another non-mask wearer touching their face.
I wonder how many are blowing this off as overplayed?
I had a list of everything we needed and filled it. We are good for a couple of weeks short of fresh veg.
Everything that was non-perishable and not needed immediately was left out in the garage.
That includes the 30 roll pack of TP!

If we peak at under 1% of the population infected, we'll be ripe for at least a second wave a couple months later.

Not sure our healthcare will recover anytime this year.
