Thank you to all the idiots who support big government and attacked the Constitution.

Thank you to all the idiots who support corporate money being allowed into politics so that they can whittle away at the constitution while they increase their bottom lines and 7-9 figure bonuses and golden parachutes.

Because, if you think that this is anything more than a financial favor being repaid to the insurance sector, you've got your head either buried in the sand or up your ass.

You more than likely already have it in your car. They're already installed in 92% of all vehicles. They would be accessed by your dealer if you had to bring it in for a problem and would help in accessing safety issues.

I don't believe they could even be accessed for accidents without you giving someone access to your vehicle. The black box isn't something that can beam data to anybody wirelessly.

I hope all of those complaining about it, remove them from your vehicle today b/c you more than likely already have one.

This is why the insurance companies are willing to "total" a vehicle. Once they do, they own it and have access to the information to use against you in the even that they are being sued either by you, a passenger in your car at the time or the other party.

Profits above liberty should be the corporate motto!

All of those things involve third parties and existing infrastructures and in most cases are legal under existing laws.

Everything can be legal, even depriving you of Constitutional protections. That's hardly comforting. It's been done with cell phones. You'll even give permission. After all highways are important to interstate commerce and knowing the state of vehicles using them is a safety measure. Want to drive? Do what you are told.

But, but, Obama is *Anti-Business!* Or can Righties still believe they can have it both ways?

This is why I've all but disappeared from this board and only show up on occasions where I am so bored there is literally nothing else worth doing.

Obama and the Democrats == Bush and the Republicans

It's a case of two sides of the same coin. All are bought and paid for and will do the bidding of whatever corporate sector threw the most money at them. Those on this board that think that there is a difference or try to argue that one side is better than the other are simply nothing more than naive, partisan hacks or worse, complete idiots.

Hint: "are" and "have to by law" are completely different.

They "are" regulated AND they have to "by law" follow TSA guidelines, even if they use private companies to provide screening.

"After approval from TSA and a competitive bidding process, SPP allows airports to transition to private screeners while maintaining TSA oversight and the corresponding increased level of security implemented since 9/11."

So even if they "Opt out" they "have to by law" follow TSA guidelines under TSA oversight.

That's the law, and that's the point I was making.

Happy landings.

To your example. Have you ever taken a private chartered airline flight? Hint, there is no TSA, no body scanners and no x-ray machines.

You need to understand how the TSA works. The TSA exists at airports at the request of the airport and some airports do NOT have the TSA, Sanford-Orlando is one example. Furthermore, there is no law requiring you to be scanned or your luggage. Again, you're dealing with multiple third parties (airport and airline) and the agreements are largely between them and the TSA, not you.

All you need is one 9/11 type incident with that private chartered flight and any autonomy the airports think they have is over.

My newest vehicle is a 2002, and no, there is no black box in the thing
