Looking at those OKCupid stats, I think it skews how you would normally look at that type of data. Since it is a female sender and not male, you are probably dealing with the bottom of the barrel females for each race.

The dip from white male/white female response rate to white male/black female isn't as substantial as most of the other races when looking at the response rate from same race to whatever race/black female. It is also worth noting that the response rate from black male/white female drops at a larger clip to black male/black female than white male/white female to white male/black female.

My totally non scientific, completely anecdotal and possibly unintentionally racism twinged view is that black females are used to certain qualities that white males are unable to consistently replicate. I seem to get better reception from a good looking mulatto girl than an (apparently) full black female. The former might make eye contact, check me out, or smile as I pass by. The latter almost never even glances in my direction.

There's still a huge amount of racial bias at play. I'm a boring, midwest raised caucasian male. Even if I was madly in love with a black woman that was the CEO of fortune 500 and was the nicest person you could ever meet...I'd have parts of my family that would never accept her as "family". I'm sure I am not alone in the resentment that other white men feel from their family if in that situation.

But that's not all that different than other races. I'm sure Asian families have some ridgid racial biases and I know for a fact that many Indian families would almost *never* consider letting their daughters date/marry any other males besides ones of Indian descent.

There are certain prejudices at play that don't work both directions.

The topic is black females and they posted pictures of 2 black females and you say "sorry not valid" Blacks females don't look 1 certain way, the diversity's one reason guys like me like them so much. So, yes the 2 pics posted absolutely have a place in this thread. And please explain to me what the fuck a black woman's suppose to look like if those 2 aren't fair comparisons. Bigger lips, nose, etc. Someone can have come from African ancestry but if they have a lighter skin tone and more European features, it's fair to say they aren't the best example the OP was referring to. edit: I think the Gabrielle Union photo is the type of black girl we're talking about. Not just in skin ton but in facial features. Anyone further to the European side of the spectrum from her would not count. Going to the African side you can get much darker

The OP asked about BLACK women, not what someone considers to count as black or not. All of the women pictured are black women.

This thread isn't about categorizing black women based on skin tone and physical features.
