It's really hard to ascertain without actually witnessing the event. Did this rabbit behave as if this kid have AIDS? If so, I can totally see how the kid/parent were insulted. Perhaps, maybe...just maybe..that kids of varying ages get treated differently. Your 8 or 9 year old may not get the cuddly, googly treatment as a toddler or 4 or 5 y/o.

disney workers are unionzed and it pays very well. it was the place you wanted to work at back when i was in high school about 20 years ago. my friends were making nearly $15/hr.

Exactly. Disney would rather settle for chump change than deal with bad publicity. It's part of doing business in the public, image is everything.

My wife and I worked in the theme park industry for decades. It's pretty standard to pay off the leeches who try to make a living off of crap like this. It's much less expensive than a possible court battle and the bad publicity.

We had a lawyer who would travel our California parks and, among other things, take pictures of our souvenir mugs and shot glasses displays. He would steal the mandated Prop 65 "California Law Requires..." warning signs from our display and products, then take the picture and file a law suit. He did it repeatedly and settled for thousands every time.

I caught him once myself at a games booth harassing some 16 year old girl, trying to get her to misstate the rules so he could argue that he had actually won a bike when he hadn't.

Scammers like to scam.
