I've been thinking of trying to OC mine. My mobo has a preset already for 4.6, but I dont know if I should use that.I'm running mine at 4.6 as well for daily use.

Wheeeee! It's happening!
I said earlier in cases & cooling I didn't mind working in the small confines of the M1....I meant it, that is until I started working with compression fittings within the small confines of the M1. I can't get a good grip on them and unfortunately I'm the type of person who likes to crank 'em till they bleed, they are wearing me out. Overlook the wiring it's all been pushed toward the front and out of the way of the area I'm working on ATM, I'm not sure there is anyway I can end up making it actually look neat though once everything is in here, going to be tight no matter how you slice it.
No, I just like playing with new toys. I'd love to run wild with someone else footing the bill though. I may end up switching this one over to hardline, it would be so much cleaner that way, so much room wasted on tubing necessary to make gentle enough bends in this build. Someone could really make something like this awesome with hardline and custom cable lengths, if I was going to that extreme though I'd have bought the pricier EK block for aesthetics. Truth be told I didn't even clean up the wiring mess yet, once I was able to get the tubing fit I just wanted to slap it back together and try it out.YBS1, you are TRULY a dedicated custom water cooler. Do you build for others?
AIB prices are lame this generation. Here in Canada it's even worse as AIB 480s are approaching $400-420 CAD+ tax.

Not trying to excuse the $290 price for XFX, but at least this cooler may be among the best from the entire RX 480 line, with 5 year warranty on the swappable fans and direct contact with VRMs. They basically took a variation of the 390X 300W cooler and strapped it on a 480! It also has custom low noise inductors.
OTOH the competitor charges $50, $70 and $100 (you know on what cards) for basically looks, but that premium still buys you a mediocre cooler and PCB/VRM quality which isn't even on RX 480 level on their $700 card...just saying it could be MUCH worse.
I do agree that at these prices, for gaming might as well spend a bit more for a 980Ti/1070. Regardless, as long as RX 480 continues to make $$$ mining, demand will be there. I just ordered more cards again. It makes it a no brainer to replace most Hawaii cards with 2x RX 480 and a 1000W PSU can handle 6. Normally, very few gamers would go from a 290/290X/390/390X to the 480 but with mining it actually makes sense. Rumoured terrible yields at GloFo mean we might hit 2-months paper launch on the 480 soon. Ha!

Depends what resolution. At 1080p I think the 1070 is too much. At 1440p I feel that's where the 1070 does very well. It can pretty much play anything comfortably at that resolution. I'm surprised of how quiet it is even while gaming. I hear the hyper 212 the most.I agree that if you're buying the RX 480 for gaming it's a hard sell at the moment. Right now the 1060 AIB's are a bit rare, but if you can snag one for $250+/- you'll get a faster card with less heat.
The 1070 is sitting in a good spot at $430 (AIB) for higher-end gamers looking for an upgrade without the dual GPU aftertaste. I have 2 RX 480s because I wanted strong performance to take advantage of freeSync (have a hard time paying 20%+ more just for G-Sync on the same monitor), but after running into issues with freesync I'm second guessing the $/perf of CF 480s. When they scale, it's outstanding. When they don't scale, I'm sitting there feeling like a knob for wasting $230 on a 2nd card. To see how green the grass on the other side is, I "rented" a GTX 1070 from Fry's over the weekend to try out the performance. I'll be honest that I was tempted to put my rx 480's up for sale and go straight NV. The performance I got across all games while hitting 70c max temps with no screaming fans was delightful.
If I can't resolve my FreeSync issues, I may be putting my 480's up for sale and going green.

What issues are you having with Freesync?
There were some issues I had with Freesync but I knew them going in - like no windowed full screen
stuttering if below minimum Freesync range
Just got my new Sapphire RX480 Nitro+ 4GB in and installed. First thing I noticed is the fans are typically OFF when just surfing the web. Which is cool, even when they do kick on I really cannot hear them when they are on low. And I have the case side off, and the case is RIGHT next to my display. So its very noticeable if I can hear it. But note I have not gamed for a prolonged time to see how hot/loud it can get.
Oh, and the DVI port is not a dual link DVI, which is a bummer. Means I need to buy a display port cable, until then I am stuck at 60Hz
Here are some quick wattage comparisons taken at the wall with a Kill-a-watt with zero tweaking, out of the box.
