Newegg U.S. stock is ample right now, but AIB prices are too high imho.

PowerColor RED DEVIL = $270
PowerColor RED DEVIL OC = $280

Interesting, I didnt know Powercolor released different variations of the Devil 480. They are both still available on newegg at the moment. They finally released the modified bios which allows over 5% power limit. Performs much better now than I can maintain the advertised boost clocks.

You guys should contact support and see if they can ship you another card for the same price.

Amazon sent me a notice earlier today wanting me to confirm the order by Sept. 23rd or it would be cancelled. They still don't have a shipping date.

yeah they told me the same thing, and that they were not even sure they would be getting stock ever. Just goes to show how stupid amazon is, who the hell takes preorders for more stock than they have confirmed on order? its just plain stupidity.

I'm amazed that some of you still have not received the nitro cards from Amazon. Usually Amazon is the best when it comes ordering pretty much anything online. Looks like they definitely screwed this one up.

If I didn't have a card I would cancel and get something else. At the same time I'm also curious if those that ordered will ever get theirs.

Reminds of the time I ordered a nexus 6 from Motorola and they sent me the wrong phone. It took them 2+ months to send me the model I ordered and customer service was hell.

I have little experience with amazon USA, however i use amazon canada alot and have come to the conclusion that i do not order anything from any of their resellers only amazon themselves, and only things that are in stock. Due to dozens of issues over the years. I was hoping amazon USA would be different but it appears i should have followed the same procedure i use for amazon canada and just not ordered anything not in stock.

Oh yea that's a big one, ordering on Amazon from resellers. Definitely a no go, learned that a long time ago. I have a buddy that paid for a year of prime to see what it's like but he doesn't even order from Amazon as much so if I need something quick I Venmo him money and he orders for me.

I waited week after week for the 'release' of custom cooled 480s assuming that once they made it then pricing would reflect the $199/$239 msrp I'd been hoping for. I didn't realize the only cards we'll ever see at that price are the ref cards with, imo, bottom binned gpus, warm n loud coolers, and 6 pin power. In hind sight I put it down to my naivety and/or wishful thinking. So like many others who were/are on a very tight budget, I opted for a 470 Nitro that was actually available without getting raped by the middleman...tho still overpriced at $210 (thankfully I got $25 off with the PayPal, NewEgg promo). Turns out that if your not wanting 1440p or 4K and/or don't have a monitor that supports it...the 470 is actually a pretty damn good compromise. This still left a bitter taste in my mouth...mk, maybe butt-hurt is a better term...but thru this I've learned the purpose, imo, of 'ref card only' launches....bait. But the $25 off promo helped immensely and turns out, once unlocked, my Nitro overclocks like a bat-outta-hell...go Sapphire. /rant

The base MSRP for cards is always for reference cards. Been this way for ages.

So I have been playing with undervolting my 480 Nitro+, and thus far things have gone well. Still running at the stock speed, no throttling, and the card runs much cooler. Currently have it at -50mV, will do more testing before I try lower.

RX prices won't come down unless Ethereum crashes. Was a similar story with the Hawaii launch.

I also pre-ordered a Nitro from Amazon last month. Got tired of waiting without any information and cancelled once I saw Newegg had it in stock Monday night. Should be here Saturday!

I'll agree with others that $280 out of pocket for this card is quite an ask, but I had ~$40 in store credit and my previous 390 paid for the rest. I'm fine with it.

Good to have one more option. I'm waiting for Afterburner to be released with updated support since for me it's always seemed the most stable and all around polished.

Ditto, I always used Afterburner even though I have owned Sapphire cards. Although wattman has worked pretty well for changing things around.

Honestly, if Wattman had support for the unlocked voltage I wouldn't have a need for anything else. Other than the stupid name, it's perfect. (Well, maybe could use an OSD function)

According to Amazon, the sapphire (non turbo OC nitro) card is finally on the way and due Wednesday. So 34 days from order. Sigh.

Availability seems to be getting better lately for all the RX cards. I'd give it another month or two for prices to get in line without coupons/sales to offset the price inflation.

Yeah the RX 480 is a little overpriced IMO with up to $290 for the PowerColor Devil RX 480 AIB 8GB. I was going to purchase one until I saw the Sapphire Radeon Fury Nitro 4GB on sale last weekend for $300 at NewEgg! I got a faster card albeit with a smaller frame buffer and no 4K decode support but I'm still on 1080P so I'm fine with it.

I was tempted by the Fury for $300 (well, not really--I'm still fine with my 280X, I don't want a behemoth card like the Fury, and I will only upgrade to current gen anyway), but that was a great price.

Newegg stock is getting better and prices a little better

I'm just wondering why you guys wouldn't just buy a Fury Nitro for $300 or 980Ti for $350 instead of spending $280 on RX480?

I'd take a 980 Ti for $350 over a $280 480 8GB every day of the week

I dont think ill go nvidia again for a long term card for the sole reason that i saw how quick Nvidia was to drop driver updates for my SLI GTX 460 setup, and how much of a pain it was getting SLI working correctly for games after that. I think i got my moneys worth using them for 5 years but it took alot of tweaking and time from the 2 year point onward. If i buy Nvidia again it will be brand new generation, and ill go into it knowing in 2 years or less ill be upgrading GPU again. I dont have as much time to screw with settings as i used to, i can see this mattering less for people who have more time but as i get older my time seems to be more valuable.
