We ignored Hitler for 2 years. The only reason why we got involved was b/c of Pearl Harbor...I'm not saying that it's right, that's just what happened.

The bulk of our intelligence comes from Israel. I said it earlier but evidently it bears repeating--you are ignorant if you don't think that the existence of Israel is vital to the stability of the middle east.

U.S. intelligence on the Middle East (including whatever scraps are thrown to us by Israel) isn't worth a pail of warm sh|t. The Feds had not a fscking clue about September 11 until 4 airplanes, and 2 rather large office building were taken down. The U.S. millitary still has no clue where Osama Bin Laden and Mullah Omar are.

The U.S. gets most of its intel on the whereabout of Islamic terrorist outfits operating in that region from India and Russia. Our human intel (what is and was sorely needed in the Mideast) was virtually dismantled by the Clinton administration and Democrats in Congress because it sometimes relied on and paid people with "questionable moral character and history." Well, DUH! If you're going to get human intel from a den of thieves, you have to hire a thief to fit in. If you're going to find out what's going on in the sewer, you have to crawl in with the rats.

Yes, our Intel has been abysmal. But that is going to change. The only problem is, human intel on the ground takes YEARS of planning and YEARS to implement. You can't just throw Johnny Apple Pie into Muslim countries and expect him to get inside terrorist organizations. You have to flip people, raise people from the ground up, and work them in slowly.

What gets the attention of US politicians, including Presidents? Votes and contributions. The fact that they are Jews is not the point at all (so you can stop your Semite/anti-Semite crap); they know how to influence, just like any other savy group or corporation knows how to influence--with votes and/or money (contributions). That is ONE of the reasons Isreal gets more than its "fair" share of attention. The fact that it is a "friendly" nation in the mid-East is another. Do we have a military base in Isreal? Not to my knowledge. Isreal gives us only what it wants to give us. They serve themselves, just as we serve ourselves.
