You are proving my point again! BASIC ECONOMICS. If something is scarce, its prices go UP. If something is prevalent and abundant, prices go DOWN.

Nobody lives up there = smaller market = what SHOULD BE higher prices. Prices dont go down when there is only a small amount of people buying the product.

It just doesnt make sense.

it's hard to argue with the rationalization aspect, because in a society where usage is illegal and generally frowned upon, all users are going to attempt to rationalize to some extent.
however, a rut is a state of mind. it's not always like the stereotypical dope scene that they portray in the movies. some people actually grow up and continue to toke, and sometimes it's not ghetto. others think that if you toke, you're not grown up at all. but insofar as being "caught up in a world of drug dealers", how? if i see my dealer once every two weeks for 5 minutes, would you consider that caught up? my paraphernalia is hidden because i am a discrete user, therefore i don't think i'm caught up in that either.

I wouldn't pay IGBT too much attention, especially on this topic. His feelings on "dopers" are well known.

That's fine, I know of no other topic where opinions vary so wildly from one extreme to the other. Obviously for some it is easier to simply categorize and pigeonhole users as losers. Unfortunately I find these types to be closed-minded as a rule, not only when it comes to their opinion on said dopers.

Had he not chosen such a horrible path in life he could have made something of himself. Hmmmm now this one hits close to home. I was an everday smoker till i had to quit for this job (which i am getting tested for next week YAY!) Personally I get pissed at people who knock potheads without trying it. And the people who do smoke it tend to be laid back unless they are doing other drugs also (which I don't besides the usual caffeine nicotine and alcohol) Its a personal choice. If I want to smoke it should be my personal freedom to. I am not out robbing people for a fix (I am too damned stoned for one) or any of the other things hard core drug users do. Its way less harmful than any other drug out there, with many more benefits that are good rather than bad. Some people just arent in the right frame of mind for it. For me marijuana seems to make me more introspective of my own thoughts and for some that could be a bad thing.
And at the same time most use too much at one time. Myself when I did smoke I got the best quality available and smoke very small amounts at a time. This gave me the high I was looking for without being stupified. I am able to function and still be stoned. But I still wouldn't go to work stoned. But it makes me a more mellow driver thats for sure.
Anyways if you have no interest in smoking it don't worry about those that do. Chances are alot of people you know smoke but you don't realize it. No big deal. Thats their choice. Doesn't make them any less of a person.
