And at the same time most use too much at one time. Myself when I did smoke I got the best quality available and smoke very small amounts at a time. This gave me the high I was looking for without being stupified. I am able to function and still be stoned. But I still wouldn't go to work stoned. But it makes me a more mellow driver thats for sure.
Anyways if you have no interest in smoking it don't worry about those that do. Chances are alot of people you know smoke but you don't realize it. No big deal. Thats their choice. Doesn't make them any less of a person.

I completely agree. I'm just annoyed by people who haven't tried it, and yet are trying to keep others from enjoying it. They say that it's "immorial" - I don't see how lighting a bowl is any more immoral than having a couple of drinks after work, or enjoying the relaxation that a Thanksgiving turkey brings. It's just a way to relax, and some people are so brainwashed that they would rather spoil the fun for others than see it from a different perspective.

I think that far more people smoke weed than non-smokers realize - particularly in 'Corporate' environments.

Of course all of the smokers aren't going to jump out in this thread - allisolm your examples really don't mean much due to this.

I tried it once, wasn't impressed. I can certainly see how some people might want to use it to feel good, especially in hard economic times or to help sleep. If I tried it again, it would probably be to help me sleep. Though I can't see myself trying it unless it was legalized. Not worth risking my job should they do a random drug test.

Figured I'd chime in. Smoked so much in my 20s that it would make your head spin, don't care to go into details (but a friend grew so I had as much as I wanted, whenever I wanted at no cost. Rarely had less than a few ounces for personal use).

Then around 27 I realized i was wasting my life by being high all the time. Sure it was fun, but I wasn't moving forward with my life and achieving what I knew I was capable of. Plus it just wasn't that much fun anymore. Haven't smoked since.

..if your in a safety sensitive position, legalization won't help. I've seen employees fired for violating the alcohol criteria (.039). Thresholds are established for other legal drugs that are low enough to discourage use. Or employees are put on admin. leave to accommodate post op.drugs i.e surgery etc. and must pass a return to work drug test.

Smoked a cig when I was 8. Inhaled, swallowed the smoke...tried to cough up a lung.

Since then - not so much.

No desire to try pot, but no problems with it either. Have lots of friends & family who smoke, they all offer the first time they smoke in front of me & I politely decline. After that they just know not to offer.

Think it's stupid that it's illegal though.
