I smoked for years but stopped because I have tons of addiction in my family and marijuana wasn't working for me anymore. have nothing against anyone who does it though.

I really don't like what it does to me, so I usually don't. I know many of you cannot understand why anyone wouldn't like weed, but it seems I only have bad trips every single time I smoke. I become antisocial and groggy, which makes me nervous to be around others, so I just go to my room and lay in bed until I fall asleep (which doesn't take long at all). The only time I smoke nowadays is when I just want to pass out.

Making it legal or illegal won't change the effect on driving while high. Driving while drunk is illegal, yet it is done anyway.

Sorry but if they made it legal, the amount of people trying it or using it would go up, hence the amount of people driving under the influence of it would also go up.

not necessarily.....in a lot of countries where certain drugs are legal their abuse is lower than in countries where they arent legal.

so you cant necessarily assume more people would drive high, although i can understand why it might seem to be the case

I don't doubt that he can source it for 40$, but there's no way that its good stuff.

In Oregon, it was pretty much universally 40$ for an eighth of an ounce, or 3.5 grams.

Anything cheaper was schwag. I guess it's all relative though. If whatever he gets is all he is used to, then he has no concept of what is better.

I can only speak through the experiences of my friend, who is well versed in these matters, that lived in upstate NY (so, the same region) until last year and the statements corroborate each other.

I'm sure the personal experience of him and your friend > the entire CA MMJ community.
