Who DOESN'T smoke weed?

I live in Vancouver, BC, so even if you don't smoke it, you are bound to get second hand dope smoke just by walking around downtown, since it is semi-legal here. In fact I think I smell pot smoke just about as often as I do cigarette smoke these days.

I know a ton of people, including myself, who smoke some pot.

90% of my friends, most my co-workers, a lot of my friends parents, bosses, teachers I've had, etc. Its a victimless crime. Legalize it!

I thank my parents for that. Growing up in a smoking household was embarrassing and disgusting. If any of you board members here are parents of children, and you smoke in the house -- fuck you.

I gotta say QFT here. I had a good friend in elementary/middle school whose mom smoked, so he smelled like tobacco every morning.

I smoke weed almost daily, but I don't see the attraction of cigarettes. I smoke them on occasion with friends, but I don't like them enough to buy 'em myself.

Do you drink energy drinks for energy or coffee or energy? Is it wrong if people do? What about drinking alcohol? Is that bad? What about sleeping pills to sleep or pain pills to get rid of pain? None of what I mentioned is bad, it's only bad when a person uses it to a point that it negatively affects their life and the people around them. It's all the same idea, only difference is the that it is against the law, and slowly, state by state, that is being reversed because people see no need for that.

I'm not sure I know anyone who hasn't at least tried taking the pot, but very few of those are using on anything more than an occasional basis.

The actual smoking part can be off putting to non-smokers, but luckily there are alternatives. You can use a good bong, put it in hot oil of some kind and bake with it, or you can use a vaporizer, which produces only THC-laced hot air.

I think weed is generally much better than alcohol - it doesn't make you do stupid stuff or act weird and it won't leave you with a hangover.

I don't know, it can make you laugh hilariously at things that really aren't that funny

That all depends... some people can spend $100 per month on it, others can spend $200 every six months.

I find that if you ask, and people trust you, you'll find that most people in their 20s and 30s do drugs. Not just weed either but cocaine and E and other party drugs. There are always a few in any group of people who don't use and they tend not to know that everone else does. Normally they don't even pick up on it if you talk about drugs directly in front of them - they don't get the slang and think you're talking about something else.

What's funny is the stories you hear from co-workers, when in civilian mode. Pain killer abuse, cocaine use, pot use. And some of these people are in their 50s! And I work for a well respected company too
