Who else is jealous of these "which car should I buy" threads?

I don't worry about it too much. I drive an '89 Mazda. No bells and whistles, but no debt on it either. Would I like a new car? Sure, but I like being quite comfortable with my money more. I have absolutely NO DEBTS! You can't imagine how much money you can have with a good job and no debt. I may not look like I've got money when I drive around town, but that's okay.

Too many issues with ATTS period. If you really find yourself exceeding the handling limits of the Prelude (Which I doubt because mine handles better than my dad's 96 vette), invest in slightly wider tires and an LSD.

The 'Lude is an awesome car. I love mine. There's just something about it that begs you to keep working at it until it's perfect.

neuro - you haven't made me an offer. do yourself a favor and drive an SH. the ATTS will blow you away on handling. Just like a 200+ HP gocart.

yeah well i have a '79 buick lesabre that is rusting and slides around on the snow. it looks like crap, doesnt sound much better, and is a few thouand miles over due for an oil change. i am unemployed and i just got a check for my unused vacation/holiday pay from my old job, a whopping 200 some dollars :Q

and even when i was employed i was making 15k a year. i'm thinking of moving out of my 475 a month duplex because the last heat bill was 190 bucks, but i'll be lucky to move considering that moving is hard on the wallet, and currently i might as well throw my wallet away.

anyone got a dollar?

However...

Depending on my mood that could change at any time.

I hate car shopping, & although I'm looking forward to having a decent car I'm not looking forward to car shopping.

i am very jealous because i have over $20k saved up and i drive a seriously messed up 91 maxima that i hate so much, but i cannot afford to buy a new car because i need to get out of renting and buy a house. hopefully i will have saved up about $40k in another 2 years and buy that house.. then i will be able to blow all my disposable income on a nicer car. my priorities have changed greatly since i've been on my own.. if i had this money 2 years ago, i'd be driving a nice bmw or something..

Nice to own a TWO-TONE Maxima. Too bad when they painted the rear, they forgot to paint the rest of the car.

Now on the other hand, getting a new Neon and crashing it like me is more fun.

That's for sure! A couple years ago if you handed me a wad of cash it would have all gone into a new car. Now, although I love nice cars, I'm infinitely more interested in stuff like a house and furniture

Well I could start a thread asking about what 4x4 fullsized bronco/blazer/ramcharger I should look for for under $1000. That shouldn't make anybody jealous . I currently have a 93 nissian truck and a 67 galaxie both are paid for and I plan on buying an 88-89 dodge daytona shelby and selling one or both of my other cars. Eitherway the Nissian is gone cause its just not worth letting it sit in my driveway and depreciate but its comes in handy having a truck around so I am think about replacing it with a beat to hell fullsized truck based suv.

No car payments for me ever

Let's see, 18 mpg x 25 gallon tank = 450 miles.

Good God I hope I'm not driving that much every other day!
