In general, Anime sucks. Only one I've ever liked was the Robotech series and that was in the 80s when I was a little kid. I still like Robotech today, possibly because i grew up watching it. Everything else, I'm not a big fan of. The stories seem a little too weird and I'm a little shock they would make pornographic anime. What happen too good old XXX movies?

Saying you don't anime is pretty much like saying, "I don't like cartoons" or "I don't like comedies"... ehhhh.

I'm of the opinion that anime is such a broad genre since it has pretty much everything that live action genres offer and thensome because there are some shows that couldn't be done in a live action format without breaking the bank and going beyond all current effects technology.

Wow.. I would have to say that Japanese Anime towers over any other cartoons/animations in the world. Backgrounds, character design, action, and overall creativeness is simply a whole other level.

Your judgement is based on a small fraction of anime that has reached North America on your regular television broadcast catered towards children, rather than other genres of Anime.

Take a look at the drawing styles of these Anime before you make judgement:

This taps right into the stereotype I was talking about.. ugh.. Not all anime uses the the same googly eyes. The stereotype started when most of you have seen Sailormoon, Popemon, Digimon.. etc. all children's anime.

Cawchy87, are you referring to Powerpuff girls? Mucha Lucha? Recess? and almost 98% of American cartoons? I'm laughing so hard even the smiley face from Wal-mart is frowning at me through the tele.
The only American cartoons that come close to anime quality is X-men Evolutions, X-men, Spider-man, and Batman (the one without batgirl). Close as in Last Exile or GITS is a 9/10, then the latter is 6/10.

Its hard to be an anime fan and then hear people bash it.... but its ok, you can watch your American cartoons w/ your kids and see just how dumb they become trying to imitate Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
