I got an XBOX ont he day it came out also, It took atleast 6-8 months for OK-ish games to come out, no exaggeration. Most of the games are still crap for it today.

I am considering buying a Revolution just so I can play the 20 or so good games nintendo releases in 5 years that aren't on any other platform (Zelda for instance). I have a PS2 and I still have to get around to borrowing a gamecube froma friend just to play Windwaker and the new one coming out this year, Twlight Princess or something.

I gave no opinion on religion though; I merely used it in a non-offensive example. I actually did take the question on Christianity/Catholicism to off-topic, where the poster who corrected me in this thread and I agreed there were no hard feelings. If you'll notice, there is only one person really claiming to be upset about it, and it's a sham the intent of which is to create further debate with me since his argument on consoles is lacking and he's intolerant of opinions differing from his own.

Gurck, you really do affend people with your persistance to be "right" all the time... When me and you argued about the religion thing, you made it imperative to respond to my post as soon as possible (literally within 2 minutes) and bash me (in a sense, maybe not literally) with your opinions which you expressed with vivid passion and intent in your tone (in a sense) which you made out to be facts (when obviously they mostly were not)...

But as I said, "No hard feelings.."

After playing XBox 360 at E3 yesterday I've decided that I'll be buying one, unless PS3 wows me beyond belief. Need For Speed was obviously unfinished, but even the small portion I played was fun.

My need for a console lies on my desire to entertain guests. Ever try to get 4 people to sit around a computer to play You Don't Know Jack or some other "party game"? Sure it's a good game, but it's definitely not as enjoyable as playing a game with three other people on comfortable spacious seating.

My HTPC has 1000+ games on it that work with my four PS2 controllers so entertaining guests with older games is an easy task. The "wow" factor wears off after you play old games for about an hour. Which is why at least one of the next gen consoles will have a place in my home.

I wont be buying an XBox 360 until around the time PS3 is released sometime next year. That way I can get a feel for both the systems in their final form, see some finished games and make an educated choice. Also, the price of the XBox 360 may drop around or before then, I hope.

I have read allot of this topic and seems to me the post by wexsmith makes the most sense. PC gaming is here to stay while consoles may have slowed down the release of really good games it will not go away for some years. But when you sit here trying to compare the two to each other it's silly, it's like comparing a tricked out Honda to a Porsche, yeah they both go fast and the Porsche is better in the end but the guy with the Honda still has $60k in the bank. Bottom line is their both fun to play with whether it be console or PC just sit back and enjoy.
