Oh, I know what you mean brocephus and agree wholeheartedly. I haven't been active for many months so I guess I can tolerate one reply. I have zero confidence in a reply that contains any semblance of something that is even remotely thought provoking or mentally stimulating.

Your right of course, my reply is a perfect example of internet futility and I will have to figure out some form of self induced penalty for committing such an obvious act of stupidity. Conspiracy theory believers don't understand that they hold conjecture as truth on the basis of easily manipulated gut feelings rather than on the basis of evidence. Any "evidence" in support of what they believe is accepted as gospel. They mistake rationalization for reason. All those little unconscious leaps of faith lead inevitably to... Benghazi!, perhaps one of the greatest ever examples of propaganda induced mind fuck.

All the Repub "scandals" are designed to keep 'em in the zone, so to speak, exercising those irrational gut feelings rather than the rest of their brain. It's pretty much Pavlovian for too many of those victims.

This topic is an easy example.

Begin with factual information.

Hillary got paid for these speeches. She gets paid for a lot of speeches by a lot of people.

The people who paid for these speeches are indirectly involved with the XL pipeline, also a lot of other Canadian enterprise. They pay a lot of people to give speeches.

Which means at worst they're trying to buy influence, not necessarily over the pipeline at all. It doesn't mean it'll do them any good, either, regardless of what they want. Politics is like that some times.

Huffpo is just referencing the boogeyman much as all good right wing propaganda.

"OH God! She's selling us out over the pipeline!" Is the Left version of "Oh, God! Obama is selling us out to the Mullahs!" It's all fabrication.

It's unfortunate & silly for Huffpo to resort to such things because there's not much of that kind of low hanging fruit on the Left, anyway.
