Who has off on Monday and is NOT government or military?

High school here isn't celebrate MLK day. I guess the fact that it is a small town in michigan where 98% people are Caucasian may have something to do with it. They do have hunting day off though.

Accounting firm, officially off. But in the couple weeks I've been here I've learned it doesn't really matter whether a day is a work day or a holiday, or a weekend. There's just the work, when it has to be done by, and how long it takes to do it. Half the office will probably be in on Monday.

This the first year we have to take it off. The company BEN (black employee network) threatened a lawsuit if the company didn't give them a holiday. So now we all have to take it off, but it's not considered a holiday.....we have to use one of our personal vacation days with no option to come in and save the vacation day for our own desires. My grandad would have termed this a crock of shit.
