The fastest I have driven on a 1/4 mile track was 14.02 @ 103

The car I only had for a few months,it was a 1972 Monte Carlo
with a 454, 3.31 or so rear gears.

The car had a cam,Flowmaster dual Exhaust,and no-name headers.

On street tires I had to go easy on the throttle,it would just fry them,for the
first 100 feet.

After the 2nd run,the NHRA safety inspector said,you should have brung a brain bucket.

If I went 13.99 or less,I would have needed a helmet.

My current car I would guess will run 16.5 @ 80 mph,maybe a little faster.

Its a 1964 Valiant,2 door hardtop,factory V8,last year for a Pushbutton shifter.

I have added dual exhaust, a cam,and a 4 bbl.

I have a stage 2 WRX @ ~235awhp (~300 bhp). Engine mods are uppipe, downpipe, full exhaust, intercooler hoses, and ECU reflash. Suspension has also been heavily modded as well (struts, springs, and sway bars), but so that it is still civil enough for the street. It has never seen the drag strip (probably will this summer, finally) but I figure it should be good for low 13's. It's my daily driver, so I'm not planning on any further mods.
And I am sure it is not the fastest car here.

If my car didn't have the aerodynamics of a kleenex box, I'd have you owned. But then, I doubt the validity of that simply because 10.9 is OMGFVCKINGFAST. And you "don't remember anything else"? I can tell you every little thing I've done to the van. Garret T03 turbo, BOV, Ford Powerstroke intercooler, extra fuel injectors, exhaust, custom-crossdrilled G-Turbo-head (dropped compression ratio without sacraficing cooling), head shim (.020), Champion RN9YC sparkplugs, removed the balance shafts, RIDICULOUS weight drop, 180 thermostat, new trans cooler, oil cooler, killed the top-speed governor with some handy custom electronics work, a few other little goodies that I don't feel like explaining.

I ran some borrowed slicks for the timeslip run, but the rest of the time it runs much less aggressive boost and normal, human tires

Heh. If he'd really dumped that much money into a WRX to get that kind of time, he'd know exactly which headers and turbo he had

Plus, his upgrade path was whack, so it's obviously BS. Some things that he couldn't remember but would be required to get that kind of time are expensive items that the purchaser couldn't possibly forget, especially when he mentioned his bling-bling $100 BOV.

just look at what he says. corners at 75? um last time i checked, roads with 90* corners max at 45mph speed limit and even on a track/skidpad, 75 is pure bs.

i have a subaru wrx that has been my project for some time.. back in the day when i was breaking in the new motor. i ran a 12.8 @ 105 on 10 psi

now the car is runnging high 11.8 times.

with the parts in my room right now i am able to make 10 sec times, and last for endurance on a circuit... just need then installed.

its part of my life.

i have upgraded:
engine
tranny
fuel
engine management
suspension

you should lower it... because my wrx is set up for 10's

edit: pics ill have to get a pic of my time slip when i can.. no scanner or cam, and webcam sucks too bad, and the one with the rollcage isnt mine.. but its the same for suspension

Anyway, it's not that a WRX can't do 10's. I know they can. It's just that he sounds full of it. A "few mods", the most important of which he can't remember? "Darn fast"? A 10 second WRX isn't darn fast, it's faster than f*ck.
