Tied the OP: right around .5%, if not slightly less, of my household income. Dodge Grand Caravan that was totaled in an accident a few years ago (just minor body damage, but it was squished between a car and a guardrail when the other car lost control on a bend, so the damage is on every panel on the car, except the hood and tailgate.) It has 140k miles on it now, so without even bothering with KBB value, I doubt it's worth much more than the scrap yard value - maybe $700 tops.
On the other hand, my boat that the grand caravan pulls works out to around 10%, the dirt bikes that we put on the trailer that it pulls together also work out to around 10%
