Who here personally knows someone who is openly gay?

my best friend and ex step sister's brother is openly gay.

and this kid who graduated last year is gay.

and if you're counting lesbians, there are two of them i know who are dating at school who i hang out with sometimes.

Shoot, I was in concert dance in college. I've probably met a couple dozen from that alone as I was one of the few non-gay men there.

Friends, co-workers and aqcuaintances (no one in my family that I can think of).....lots and lots.

Hell, in certain sections of downtown you practically trip over gay prostitutes, lol.

[edit] Oh yeah, I worked at Disney in Orlando at their aquarium in Epcot as part of their College Program. You wouldn't believe how many people I met who "arrived straight and left gay". Big coming out place I guess.

I work with at least seven openly gay people. They're really great about diversity at work, I understand they even have <comapny name undisclosed> gay pride magnets and such.

A couple of my co-workers. None of them were particularly pointed about it, no more than anyone would be pointed about their heterosexuality. The photos on their desk of their S.O. led into the conversations where I found out.

i have openly gay friends. My old cleaning maids was a gay couple. I know numerous gay people through family and other friends.

One of my sister's best friends is gay. Or he was anyway, sister tells me he is having 2nd thoughts about it now.

He stayed in my room when he came for my sister's wedding. I had fun messing with my friends.

I didn't think people like that actually grew up, or had people that knew them before they became freaks. Not exactly someone you can brag about knowing when he was young. And maybe a bit of an uncomfortable thing when he shows up for the reunion.

Nope, none. In my high school graduating class of ~100 people we didn't have any african americans and maybe one hispanic.

Probably had a couple gay people but they definitetly weren't open about it. Would have been social suicide.
