I've seen it here on the forums a couple times, but tonight as I was driving home from work, I was stuck behind a car for 3 miles that had "WHO IS RON PAUL?" written on the back of their rear window in huge white paint.

He is the Best Republican in the race. He does seem to attract a good bit of scorn from his own party though which, whatever it may say about him, tells you what the rest of them are worth.

I am going to give you a free piece of Moonbeam advise I think you could make use of.

Sorry, thats a cheap shot not worth dignifying, but Ron Paul is a genuine Libertarian in republican label. I may not believe in the Libertarian message but I respect his right to put his hat in the ring. Ron Paul has a following, he can raise the money from supporters to be a viable candidate that will not be a mere flash in the pan, and America will get its chance to know Ron Paul. End of story and let the voters decide.

It is very rock solid. Removing the insta-debt to private bankers and backing the money with something tangible (gold). About as rock solid as your going to get. Our current system is anything but.

He does destroy the other R's. I was watching a R debate and he just jumped out as someone with actual heartfelt opinions and ideas. I may not agree w/ everything, but the gov't could use a good dose of libertarianism to put the Federal gov't back into its place balance wise as well as restore some sanity of foreign policy. He is dead on right about his assessment of "blowback" and how it affects our national interests. Finally a Republican who seems to get it, and not some politico looking too shortsighted like Reid.

What's most remarkable about him is that he actually says something. All the other candidates are trying their best to say as little as possible to get into office (Hillary being the master of this.) It hard to label someone as "nuts" if you have no idea what they are thinking beyond a 10s soundbite.
