Yes, Satan is supposed to return to Earth before "the end." And he is supposed to rule the planet for a while, often called the years of Trials and Tribulations. Even if you are not a believer, I recommend reading the book of Revelation (hint: it's in the Bible).

I also recommend reading a book called "Meet the Witnesses," written by John Mathias Haffert. It is a scientific study about the story of Fatima, which is IMO, the best story ever pertaining to a miraculous event. There are so many untruths regarding this story around the net. You can find a copy, just run a search, I think I paid $8 for it.

Actually.... the story goes more like the movie Devil's Advocate and the theme of vanity.
Lucifer was the archangel to God and was the most beautiful. However, he realized he was doing the bulk of God's work and was, afterall, very beautiful and thought that man should worship him instead of God. Then he oppposed God and was CAST/THROWN into the Lake of Fire.

For reference, read your Revelations or consult a minister near you. Don't go to priests; they charge a grope per visit

There's a book called The Urantia Book (aka the story of everything) that lists Satan as the assistant of Lucifer and presumes to describe the lucifer manifesto essentially as a decree of war against and a denial of the existence of the more potent celestial powers (the Creator Sons and their Father). These celestial powers were his creators and it was very much the attempt of a perfect creature to overrule its perfect creators. He was 1 in 100,000 though and could have been squashed immediately, but the mercy of perfect creators is nigh infinite and they offered him forgiveness throughout which he rejected. He did convince hundreds of thousands to follow him through the rebellion but most of them changed their minds before and after his apprehension. Now they are virtually powerless and are awaiting final judgement. Our system has been cut off from the universe communication and spirit circuits because of this rebellion. Hahaha so how does it benefit you to believe this? It doesn't it's just one opinion amongst many. I guess the difference is that I have room in my universe for spiritual circuitry and rebelling perfections.

didnt satan create money so he could act as god over all humans without having the "infinite power" of god?

Satan are the evil Aliens

God are the good Aliens

There was a galatic war and the good aliens defeted the evil aliens and banished them from our galaxy.

I thought there was a fundamental disagreement between God and Lucifer that caused the rebellion? I didn't remember it being so vain as to overtake God for power. I thought it was something like Lucifer wanted what Humans had or something.

But I don't even know why I have this impression, probably from a movie, since I've seen a rediculous number of movies that cameo'd lucifer...

There's actually some merit to this thinking. An entire school of thought says that the entire Biblical account is merely the relating of alien experiences with man from the point of view of non-technologically sophisticated humans. If we could magically go back in time, their descriptions of us would probably be similar...

satan (lucifer) was actually the most powerful of god's angels... and somehow he was banished to hell or something like that

Banished because Lucifer rallied other angels against God to overthrow God.

There was a battle between the good and evil angels soon thereafter.

No, Satan wanted to be worshipped like God. He did not want to overthrow him.

IIRC, the concept of a Satan was developed as the middle ages went on, and that previously, there were many, and that it wasn't one dude in each story, but a different one. Apparently Satan is something close to 'accuser'.
Lucifer, I believe, is a mistranslation involving a king of Babylon.

That depends on which of the 10^78 sects you go with. Generally something to do with free will, and how/when it is exercised.

This is a dead simple one.
Your kid murders someone. Death penalty or prison? Generally prison.

Then there's the South Park view, where Heaven was really just made for the Mormons, and Hell isn't so bad.

Satan/ lucifer was not trying to take over. He was banished along with others because he did not wish to be subserviant (sp?) to God's greatest creation, Man. He was banished after he and other angels tried to (and did) corrupt man.

This is almost correct. The "devil" as we see him now is a relatively recent idea. The casting out of Lucifer does refer to the King of Babylon but it is not the same person as Satan.

Satan was Luciifer the most beatiful, most powerful and wises of all the Angels.

When Lucifier turned his back on God, he became Satan = Adversary in Hebrew.

Now God could have killled Satan and he would have cease to be. However casting them
into a pit of eternal torment is probably worse. Remember even Satan doesn't want to be in Hell.

Think about it. If someone did something horrible to you, or someone you care about,
Would you rather kill them or would you rather they suffer endlessly in the worst pain imaginable
for the rest of time.

You can read Milton's Paradise Lost on a view on the battle in heaven.
