Pretty soon I'll be doing a whole rebuild of my MR-S. New paint, new turbo, etc...

Not looking forward to it.

Lost my mind and rented a proper shop to appease wife. Space for 4 to 5 cars and outside parking. Moved lifts, tire equip, and all three rolling boxes in a day. Shes not dolled up yet but the location has promise!

Today I cut the old bracket off an exhaust hanger from the Forester so I could re-install it with the trailer hitch (yay rust)..that's done, so I finally have no more muffler-on-trailer-hitch rattling!

Doesn't matter if they were Bugattis

Luckily I have a few car nuts on the block who love my free beer in the garage policy!

Wrenching later tonight. Playing with my new JDM front clip. Couldnt resist. Walked away from computer and towards clip to see if it starts with a bladder!

im going to replace the brake light switch on my truck tonight. the hair band and wire tie that is keeping it from staying on is starting to worry me. tomorrow its basic tune up time, and pricing for a top end gasket kit for my civic. i really miss driving that gokart.

that good sir is a fine recipe!

Are the NB rear shock mounts being replaced for wear or to upgrade handling.

Upgrade handling more or less. The fronts have NB mounts already, so my car looks kinda weird with the NA rears lifting it about 3/4"

Installed a cv joint on my 1994 Integra, it's funny how what you would think would be a 1 hour job turns into a 4 hour job with multiple trips to autozone.

I'll go ahead and say they I've just learned the hard way of what happens when you keep driving on a clicking cv joint, the funny thing is the was clicking, but the boot wasn't torn.

I've been swapping out my differential this weekend.
Unsurprisingly, after my miata got rear ended, one of the differential mounting arms snapped apart. This is very common to happen on rear ended miatas. Luckily, I have a spare diff from upgrading my diff to a LSD previously.

Now after putting the thing together, I find one of the balls from the CV joint on the floor. I open it up and see that the ring holding all the balls in place snapped into two :\

I'm gonna try to just jb weld it to see how it holds. Bad idea?

Not sure if srs?

New/reman CV should be like $50... Don't ghetto rig axle and suspension stuff.

JB Weld's website lists car axle as one of the applications for its product?

The cage doesn't look like it takes a significant amount of stress since it's holding the balls in place and is not part of the axle? Also it looks like if the weld failed, all that would happen is that it'd start making noises during turns.
