fixing a hydraulic leak on the camper.. ick. 2 gallons of oil... may pick up some ball valves to make each cylinder able to be used independently also, seeing as i have the thing drained.

well don't let your paranoia get the best of you...if you over-tighten the pan bolt for fear that you didn't tighten it enough, you could easily strip the hole's threading...after all, the oil pan is just sheet metal, and its not very thick at that.

Oh I know, it's just something in me that fears it. Since I always do my oil changes I know not to over tighten because I'm the one going to be back there to get them off. Still remember once on this truck I think it was the factory filter I had to hammer in a screw driver to get it unscrewed. So much rage that day.

i put a new fuel filter, thermostat (and housing, since i cracked it when removing), myriad hoses, new 2-row radiator and external trans oil cooler. also put a higher cfm fan on the radiator. all this went on my little civic hatch, i love that go-kart. my next project is a fairly large oil leak coming from under the timing covers on my 95 legacy. not sure what it is yet, but im expecting the worst so far.

Finally isolated the rattle in the trunk of my 300zx. Loosened all the bolts of the rear hatch and lined it up correctly and tightened down. Car much quieter. When Ballmode drove it a few months ago it shook more than a foxbody convertible.

Oil change and filter on my Miata... definitely need an oil cooler. Mobil 1 synth looked completely cooked after 1500 miles of hard driving.

Send a sample to Blackstone and see what shape it's in (and/or get a watercooled turbo).

Only hurts the wallet :awe:

Haha, I don't need blackstone to tell me that my 220whp oil-cooled turbo setup with a 3.6qt capacity is scorching oil

Oil cooled? Thought you were using those air cooled die cast chinachargers

Pulled the AEM wideband out of the car today, left it disassembled so I can put the new Innovate one in when it arrives.

The Accord got new pads all around and new rear rotors, plus a brake fluid flush. Rotated tires. It's going in for timing belt change #2 at the mechanic tomorrow.

Installed a new glove box damper after breaking it last week. Dealer wanted $130 for parts and labor, which included taking the dashboard apart.

I did it with my index finger and a slight twist. Needles to say I am very happy.

On ModSquad1 MKII MR2:

Replaced filler neck to accommodate new fast-fill fuel tanks.
Re-timed the new motor.
Put on a matching set of star-spec tires.
Replaced the front brake rotors (old ones were about ready to shatter!)
Did the car egress in tech.

Black2NA and I are set to race at NHMS tomorrow and Sunday!

Changed the oil and air filter in my lawn mower (Toro Recycler 20333). Scared myself when it wouldn't start, but I had just forgotten to reconnect the spark plug . Need to get a torque wrench so I can sharpen the blade a little and clean out the blade-brake clutch.

If that counts, I've finished adjusting the clutch and transmission on my RC monster truck this weekend. Took it for its first real drive in the dirt. Getting the engine to run right is a different story. Keeps loading up on the low to high RPM transfer. Needles need some serious tweaking. This engine has been notoriously difficult to tune properly compared to other RC engines I've had.

Just need to get a body for it.

finished up the bellypan on the truck. I got about 80% from the front back. the last 4' is a real mess with the spare and the pumpkin and 4" exhaust and rear leaf arms and bags.
I will give it the eyeball tomorrow but I may just leave it be.

I put a new windshield in my truck today. Mine had a few chips and cracks and a buddy was scrapping his 79 blazer but it had a mint windshield, so we put it into my 84 Chev pickup. I leaned i hadnt given glass guys enough credit and installing a windshield is ALOT harder than it looks, especially when you spend 3 hours welding/patching rust holes in the pinchweld that the windshield sits on back together.
