Cobra blew the power steering rack and dumped the fluid while on lunch Monday.

Towed on a flatbed, was able to get a 03/04 Cobra specific rack through the dealer over night, put it in in about an hour Tues afternoon. Drove to work Wed morning.

:awe:
what a coincidence, my truck took a ride home yesterday
The cooling line blew off the transmission at work, 5 quarts on the ground in a hurry. Big mess and AAA was 2 hours late getting me home.
I put a brass fitting and good hose on it tonight instead of the funky plastic clip system. I would never trust that again.

Replacing the radiator on at 2003 Honda Odyssey. Very frustrating and time consuming for what has been < 1 hr job for all of the other A to B vehicles I have worked on.

Doing 4 new shocks on my Del Sol. I found a set of OEM GS-R shocks on eBay (probably someone selling them because they lowered their car) for ~$100, can't beat that.

Did a brake/clutch fluid flush the other day, I guess after 6 years and 40k miles it would explain why the clutch felt jerky when engaging 2-3-4 gears. It's silky smooth now.

Also finally decided to fix the rusted out turn signal socket after something silly like five years. I had the new socket plug thing, but a repair harness was $15 per wire, there are three wires. I needed to Dremel out the plug to fit basic spade connectors, plug them in to the socket then feed them back into the plug so they sit snuggly. Wouldn't even know it by looking as it looks factory.

Grabbed rear brake calipers, brackets, ebrake cables and proportioning valve off a Grand Cherokee for my roommate's Wrangler. Protip: Try not to do such things in the middle of the day in late July in Phoenix. We did it, though.

No pics, but I've been tinkering with my Honda Rebel 450 and fixing up a Yamaha Breeze 125 atv. Changing whatever is worn out or needs replaced mostly. However, the Breeze is gonna need a top end I think. It was supposed to need a carb, but upon tearing it out and finding it in good shape I did a compression check. 30 psi, hmm, that isn't good. FML.

Tightened a wheel bearing on the Lexus and replaced a motor mount in the 2. Maybe tomorrow I'll replace old/cracked parking light lenses in the Taco.

Valve cover gasket on my '99 a4

You should probably get a bigger turbo.

No wrenching for me this weekend, the S8 has been solid after the tie rods / control arms/ K&N filters and 10 plugs. May have to do front rotors before the winter though.

Replacing a water pump in my sisters' 2010 GTI, it's really just a dead thermostat, but since we had to take a ton of stuff off anyways we are just replacing the whole assembly.

Seems crazy that you would have to take so much stuff off of it to get this changed out.

We picked up a haynes manual, it was a waste of money. The steps involved were remove intake manifold, replace water pump. I ended up following a DIY on another forum to get it changed out.

Here was the problem, it was leaking at the thermostat.
